Happy 2nd Birthday Grant!!!

My baby boy is 2! I am starting to get over the shock a little considering that he turned two 3 months ago. It seems like just yesterday that Tony and I were driving to the hospital in anticipation to meet the little bundle squished inside my mellon belly. All along my motherly instincts told me he would be a HE. Was I ever right! Grant has been 100% boy from day 1. Rough, tough, dirty, and every other word used to describe a boy. I couldn't ask for anything more perfect in my life (along with Josie and Tony)

...enough sap, here's the big day!

This picture captures exactly what Grant does every time he has the oppurtunity to drink from the bowl!

Godparents: Uncle Brandon and Aunt Andrea

We also celebrated Aunt Jen's birthday, which happens to be the day before Grant's!

From the two photos above you can see that Grant very much admires and loves his Papa and Grandpa.

There is nothing better in a little boy's world than a John Deere tractor.

Backtrack...to Easter

Summer rolls around, the weather is now beautiful, and the blog gets neglected! Unfortunately I didn't have a ton of great pictures for Easter, not even one family picture.

Boonshoft Museum

During our Christmas break I took the kids, along with my mom and sister, to the Boonshoft Museum in Dayton. The kids LOVED every minute of it. Sometimes it was hard to pull them from an area to move on to the next area. Josie just told me her favorite part was the dress up area...honestly I really don't remember this area. I think she is fully making that up! Grant's favorite part was the recycle truck. He could not get enough of the lights and siren buttons.

Iced to Perfection

...just a few pics of our Christmas Cookie Baking Extravaganza.

Below is Josie's "J" cookie. For as long as I can remember my brother Brandon has called our little sister "Juice". It always is varied somewhat. We've heard "Juicey", "Juicer", and "J's" to just name a few. Bandon has graciously handed down the lovely nickname to Josie.

2010 Christmas

My parents hosted the Francis Family Christmas this year. My dad is wearing my Grandpa's red sweater vest. Grandpa wore this sweater vest for every Christmas. I love seeing it...many memories of Grandpa are brought back.

This is our first snowfall. I would call it just a dusting, but Josie thought it was a huge amount.

This year I made a whole collection of Christmas trees to use as a count down to Christmas. Under each one I had a small piece of candy for Josie.
On Christmas day Josie got to lay Jesus in his crib. She was so upset that Jesus didn't have a birthday cake. Uncle Brandon and Aunt Jen gave her an Easy Bake Oven which was used to bake Jesus a cake. She was very particular about the sprinkles..."only boy colors, Mom. Jesus would not like pink or purple."

A Game of Catch Up

The last two months have come and gone without me even realizing how far behind I am on keeping our families happy with cute pics of the kids. I won't mention any names, but I have been told that the pictures of the kids are all that matters- typing thoughts without including pictures is strickly prohibited now. So, to please my audience, I've included many pictures to make up for my slacking.
